MAYBELLINE FIT ME DEWY + SMOOTH VS. LOREAL INFALLIBLE PRO-GLOW!??
I have to be honest, this was actually my first time trying on drugstore foundations annndd I was pleasantly surprised with both. I saw this in the market a couple of months back and I thought why not!?? This would also give me a perfect opportunity to compare these two most talked about drugstore foundations and let you know which I one I prefer.
So, let’s dive right into it, shall we!?
MAYBELLINE FIT ME DEWY + SMOOTH FOUNDATION
Product claims – Normal to dry skin. Dewy foundation with SPF 18 that hydrates and smoothes skin texture. Leaves a naturally luminous finish.
For only $7.99 it is a great foundation. It definitely is hydrating and moisturizing to the skin and would be ideal for dry skin people out there. It does illuminate your face BUT I do find it sits a bit oily onto my skin, especially after a couple of hours.
If you like the glowy, dewy look than this foundation would give you just that but I also feel it may be slightly too dewy depending on your skin type. I have normal to dry skin which varies and fluctuates on a day to day bases and even then I found it gets a bit greasy. I think you can for sure pull this look out if it’s for a couple of hours but it may drag onto your skin past 4 hours of usage. With that said though, the coverage is fantastic and you do not feel the makeup on your face at all. Love that is super light, airy and moisturizing.
I got the shade 125 in nude beige and it blends into my skin effortlessly. With its medium coverage, this Maybelline foundation provides a very natural look overall. Another thing that I wish would be different is its wide open mouth to the bottle- I find that quite inconvenient and I often take out too much which can get messy.
LOREAL INFALLIBLE PRO-GLOW
Product Claims – Discover the new pro finish of longwear: up to 24 hour wear with a hydrating glow. Lightweight and creamy, this long lasting foundation goes on smooth with a glow finish that lasts. With medium coverage, it instantly hides imperfections for a clear complexion. The hydrating foundation with SPF is ideal for normal to dry skin.
Right off the bat, I prefer the Loreal packaging way more than compared to the Maybelline one. It comes with a convenient tube that is easier to squeeze out just the right amount. It is also more secured for traveling.
It does claim to last for 24 hours but I never wear my makeup that long so can’t speak on that but it does last the entire day. The consistency is slightly thicker than the Maybelline one, with a medium coverage. The shade fits me perfectly, if not better than the FIT ME foundation. Love the air-light texture of this product which also blends in super well. Now to the more important question – does it make your face radiant!? Yes, it does. It provides your face with a healthy dewy glow without the oily residue. I feel I can wear this one a lot longer throughout the day without my makeup looking weared out.

DING, DING, DING – DO WE HAVE A WINNER!?
Yes – it is the LOREAL INFALLIBLE PRO-GLOW!! I much prefer the Loreal foundation overall, for the reasons stated above BUT I just want to add that both of these foundations are very similar to each other and I feel the Mayeblline one could work amazingly well, depending on your skin type – I just found that it sat too oily on my skin. But for the price, it is pretty darn amazing as well.
Which one do you guys prefer more among the two!??
Quick note, I just want to end by saying that I do not think any of these, especially the Maybelline foundation would work on oily skin people out there but I would love to know if anyone with that skin type has tried these and what are your results!?
Hope you enjoyed the review, and happy almost weekend.
