Many of you may have seen these Sephora Colorful Cheek Ink Gel already during Sephora’s Christmas gift collection where they came in the packaging of a sweet peppermint which was super adorable. These just happened to be on sale for $9 last month when I hopped into their store one day and thought I would give it a go since I love cheek and lip stains! If you buy them individually they are $14.00. My all time favorite has to be the Benetint cheek and lip stain from Benefit which I still use and cherish! So my expectations for the Sephora colorful cheek ink gels were already put on high standards in comparison to the Benetint. Did they!? Well, to my pleasant surprise they weren’t too bad!
A translucent, long-wearing, buildable gel stain that gives skin a natural flushed look. Infused with hibiscus extract and paraben free, this non-sticky gel gives your cheeks a healthy pop of color, allowing you to build up on color intensity as per ones preference.
- Great colors
- Blends easily
- Stains easily so a quick application process is required
When they claim this product to be long-lasting, oh they very well mean that! If it’s kept on your fingers or cheeks for more than 3-4 seconds it will stain, leaving a blob of color! So, to avoid that simply speed up the application process and you will be fine! I apply 2-3 dots onto the apples of my cheeks directly from the tube and then quickly blend it outward using either my index and middle finger together to smudge it or I sometimes even use my beauty blender to that as well. Whatever floats your boat! But just do it quick!
Peony # 01:
I use this one the most among the three that I own. It leaves your skin with a very natural baby pink flush and it’s extremely suitable for spring and summer!
Lotus # 04:
This is very similar in the shade to peony with a slightly darker tint. Would be perfect all year round, especially during fall and winter.
A much deeper shade than the other two for sure; I think this color would be great when you just get back from a holiday, since it would complement your tan a bit!
Hope you guys enjoyed this review! Would love to hear if anyone has heard of these or used them and what are your views on it!?
Also, let me know what are your fave cheek/lip stains!? I’m always on the lookout for more!
Psst..Let’s be social!
