The pristine fresh air, the chirping of the birds from early dawn to dusk, the glimpse of greener grass, and the precious blooming flowers; yes, that could mean only one thing, SPRING! I love this time of year when you get to surround yourself with beautiful colors and warm weather that feels like a soft kiss of summer without the torching heat. This is usually the time I fix up my house and replace my décor pieces for more colorful and pastel themed interiors.

I have a huge single tree in my backyard where I hang my bird feeder and wanted to replace my bird feeder for a more spring feel. So, I thought I would share this with you guys in case any of you wanted to take up a project or two to celebrate the pleasantness of spring! This is an awesome DIY project you could do with your family/kids or even by yourself to express your creativity and acknowledge the beautiful season that is amidst us.  Plus, it will end up looking so adorable and it would be such a treat to look at lovely birds feeding off from your very own painted bird feeder!

I purchased this wooden bird feeder from Micheals (local craft store) for only $4.99 and decided to paint it to add in my own touch to make it even more special. I went ahead and used acrylic paints but remember to seal it off with a clear spray for wood to prevent it from chipping or peeling off (All of this can be purchased at your local craft store.) You can create your own shade of color by getting your basic primary paint colors and definitely white so that you can mix whites with any color to get a variety of shades, for those who prefer a more pastel theme. So, get those hands dirty and enjoy the world of colors by celebrating the beauty of spring!

Would love to know if anyone of you do special DIY projects for spring or if you are planning on buying/creating something to help you get excited for this lovely season!??

Love,

The whole time I was viewing each and every image I was wowing out loud, Alifya. You are SO talented and made that little bird house so darn cute it wanted ME to live there! How I wish I had the time to do what you did. I used to LOVE doing crafts and I can honestly picture myself getting lost in a project like this. This time of my Life I care for special needs cats and they require a lot of my time. By the time I do get some spare time, I am so pooped all I want to do is watch a movie. Yet, you have inspired me greatly. We have a bird feeder up right now which does attract so many wonderful birds which of course entertain my cats. 🙂 Thank you for sharing this with us. You are just as adorable if not more so as your bird feeder. <3

You are just too kind Amy! Thank you so much for taking the time in writing such wonderful words! It sure is time consuming but I honestly did have a lot of fun painting this and got lost painting minuscule cute details. I wanted to add a lot more but then I had to literally stop myself for making it too cramped! haha. Thank you once again! Really glad it inspired you! 🙂 xo
