Art Print Mood Boards – Spring Collection Series # 1
Hello everyone! This feels new since I do not really post on Monday’s but I will from now on because I have opened up a new segment called ‘MONDAY ART!’
Quick update in case anyone is unaware – 2 weeks back I launched my ETSY shop for DIGITAL DOWNLOAD ART PRINTS and I thought it would be a good idea to showcase a few of my hand picked prints every now and then to share some of my behind the scene processes and inspiration through images – A mini mood board of some sort.
Hoping that these images do create a certain mood and that everyone can relate to it on some level. For me, images speak a thousand words and I love that photos can give you a glimpse of the making and that it also has the ability to communicate feelings through our senses.
I have a lot more fun ideas for Monday Art, maybe even start opening up workshops for painting or tutorials!? – I do have a teaching background, so that could be kinda fun but again that’s for later. If anyone has any other recommendations or ideas, let me know! 🙂
Overall, I envision ‘Monday Art’ to be a very fun, relaxing, and stress free environment where you can join me for some fun art inspiration.
Lets’s get started – I have picked one print from each of my shop category
This soft, pastel palette watercolored feathers are simple, modern and elegant that make a great piece of wall art for your home.
I have a huge fascination with feathers lately! I plan to incorporate a lot more of these for my second launch. When I think of spring, I instantly am drawn to soft color palettes and this particular painting is just that. These colors just bring a sense of ease and comfort to me and takes me to my happy place.
Quick question- What colors bring you comfort!?
Yum, don’t you just wanna bite of that!? I know I do – yes me and my guilty, sweet pleasures. I have a major sweet tooth and I love anything pastry related. Hubby on the other hand is not so much a fan of cakes or pastries which works to my benefit since I get to eat them all – Haha!
This is a watercolor painting. It is mostly a smooth, watered down texture on the top and bottom but has a bit of a ruffle to it in the middle.
The perfect colors for spring and summer, don’t you think!?
Fun fact: Pantone’s color of the year, 2017 is ‘greenery.’ –
If you feel like you have been seeing that green color everywhere, especially in stores, now you know why! This painting is a mixed media illustration.
This print is totally me! If you have been following me for a while you would know how passionate I am with self-care and pampering. I could just sit in a bathtub, full of bubbles and foam this instant! I did have some pampering bath time over the weekend which was much needed and overdue!
I had so much fun creating this painting. The idea of painting bubbles is as much fun as being in it. I went with a muted color palette to evoke a calm feeling to the viewer.
5) Love Wreath
Spring and floral wreaths just go hand in hand. I wanted to put in a universal message in the middle of it that just reminds everyone to literally love always.
Peach, teal, pink and purple’s are my all-time fave color combinations and they just go so well together that I had to incorporate these colors into this wreath.
Anndd there we go – hope you guys got some insight about these paintings and are excited for Monday Art. I know I am!
Ps. Any other UPDATES, SALES etc. will be in the ‘MONDAY ART’ category so check that out if you need any other print related information. I have a link to my ETSY shop directly on the top bar as well for your convenience.
Psst..Let’s be social!
