I know how much you guys love my DIY posts so I’m back with another easy DIY hair spa treatment that is all natural, affordable, effective, and based around ingredients that is sitting right in your kitchen! So let’s get started.

1) For All Hair Types

Ingredients:

  • Egg – 1
  • Olive oil – 5 tbsp.
  • Honey – 3 tbsp.
  • Milk – 3 tbsp.

Egg is the best source of protein and is naturally moisturizing and works wonders to condition hair. It is great for all hair types. For normal hair, use the entire egg; use egg whites only to treat oily hair; use egg yolks only to moisturize dry, fragile hair.

Besides locking in moisture, olive oil is great for preventing and curing hair loss.  It has antibacterial and antifungal properties that fight off common scalp and hair problems as well. Rich in healthy fats and vitamin E, it helps make hair sleek and shiny, deeply conditions, while hydrating hair.

Similarly, honey is also a natural antioxidant that stimulates hair growth, retains moisture, shine and bounce for lustrous hair!

Milk isn’t just good for drinking but also good for bathing! Adding a few spoons of milk into your treatment will moisturize and boost your hair like no other. I mean Cleopatra didn’t just bathe in milk for no reason!  Yes, I know she was a ‘princess’ but aren’t we all!? Give yourself some love people, cause we all deserve it!

2) For Dry/Damaged Hair

Ingredients:

  • Banana – ½ mashed
  • Coconut oil – 5 tbsp.
  • Yogurt – ½ cup

Is your hair damaged from the sun, heat styling, harsh chemicals etc.?? If so, using a banana will help you retain your moisture, repair dull strands and split ends as well as nourish your hair with fresh nutrients. Bananas are rich in vitamins and minerals like potassium, which help bring back life and vitality to dull hair while balancing the pH of the scalp.

Coconut oil is the most common used hair oil around the world. Rich in vitamins, minerals, and carbohydrates coconut is used to cure hair loss, retain moisture, help hair grow longer and thicker and also works wonders to dry, damaged hair. Its benefits are just endless! I use coconut oil on a regular bases for shine, hair growth and thickness! Using this oil by itself is also a great fix to any hair problems.

In today’s day and time, we rely so much on styling products day in and out and we easily forget how much build up and damage it does to our hair. Yogurt can help reverse that damage by adding in that moisture and shine. Yogurt has lactic acids, which is great for cleansing the scalp and clearing away dead skin cells to help your hair follicles grow!

3) For Frizzy Hair

3 Quick DIY Hair Spa Treatment, Easy DIY Hair Spa Treatment, DIY Hair Treatment, For Frizzy Hair, Avocado Honey hair mask, AvocadoHair Mask, Hair Mask, DIY Masks ,Home-Spa Treatment, Pampering, Self-Spa, Me-Time, Beauty, Relaxation, Spa, DIY Spa, Beauty Blogger, Bblogger, Lifestyle, Lifestyle Blogger, AlifyaLifestyle, Beauty Blog, DIY Blog,Honey for Hair, Olive Oil for Hair,3 Quick DIY Hair Spa Treatment, Easy DIY Hair Spa Treatment, DIY Hair Treatment, For Frizzy Hair, Avocado Honey hair mask, AvocadoHair Mask, Hair Mask, DIY Masks ,Home-Spa Treatment, Pampering, Self-Spa, Me-Time, Beauty, Relaxation, Spa, DIY Spa, Beauty Blogger, Bblogger, Lifestyle, Lifestyle Blogger, AlifyaLifestyle, Beauty Blog, DIY Blog,Honey for Hair, Olive Oil for Hair,

Ingredients:

  • Avocado – ½ or 1
  • Olive oil – 4 tbsp.
  • Honey – 2 tbsp.

Full of vitamins and also high in proteins, amino acids, magnesium, folic acid, copper and iron, avocado is like a superhero for frizzy, dry hair. The fatty acid content in avocado oil is higher than extra virgin olive oil— one of the main reasons it is so widely reached for. These fats moisturize, nourish and strengthen hair strands while protecting hair from damage and leaves it looking radiant and healthy.

So there you have it guys! Easy, quick, affordable and most importantly highly beneficial if used regularly! If you are someone who is waiting for your hair to grow longer and are finding it really difficult than I’m telling you, give these a-go and use it diligently, once a week for at least 3-6 months to find results! In the meanwhile of this process and hair treatment, if you are eagerly wishing for a quick fix to longer, thicker hair in no longer than 5 minutes than do visit my post on ‘Irresistible Me Hair Extensions,’ in  case you have missed that!

I promise you these masks will 100% work and I have also made it a point to use these treatments religiously from now on and will get back to you with results in a few months! Let us be on this journey together to finding beautiful hair! What hair spa masks do you use and find highly effective!??

Do you think it would be possible to switch the dairy products for non dairy products? I never have any on hand because im allergic to any dairy products. Will definitely give them a try if i can work something out x

    • AlifyaLifestyle July 21, 2016 at 7:02 pm

Absolutely! You can just omit the dairy products completely as well. Every ingredient even by itself will work too! Hope that helped, let me know if you have any other questions! 🙂 xo

I always love DIY haircare rituals and these 3 types looks incredibly good and what about the chunky pieces of banana? Even though you mash up really good, still you could able to get bits and I want to know how you wash it so that it gets rid of from your hair

    • AlifyaLifestyle July 22, 2016 at 4:06 pm

Really make sure you smash the banana really well actually so that it is easy to remove in the shower! You can use a mixer if you want a hassle free process too 🙂 Hope these work out well for you, let me know! 🙂 xo
