It may come to no surprise that fall is my absolute favorite season of the year! It’s just this time of year when everything gets cozier, comfier, and simply…better. This is one season that everyone appreciates and enjoys being outdoors AND even indoors. Whether you’re walking through a pathway of fallen leaves while breathing in fresh, clean air or you’re sat beside your window with blankets and a warm cup of coffee, looking out at the breathtakingly beautiful colorful leaves dancing back and forth, it is truly something that anyone can admire.
This time of year screams COZY to me and I get super excited to wake up every morning and do the things I enjoy doing during fall to savor every bit of this season while it may last. SO, with that said, I thought it would be only fair if I pass on some of this cozy, positive energy onto you lovely people who love fall as much as I do, or even more, but simply can’t save up enough time to enjoy these days due to everyday busy lives.
WELL, NOT ANYMORE! Below are 8 simple essentials you can do during this season to enjoy every moment you have to make this fall the coziest you have ever felt!
SO, grab your hot chocolate, get comfy, and LET’S GET STARTED!
1) Go For Walks
There is no better way to take in every bit of the beauty of fall than to actually BE outdoors amongst it. Google in some parks, trails, or hikes that’s surrounded with colorful trees and crisp air. Walking outdoors is just such a great time for inner reflection and truly helps clear your mind. Grab someone along with you and breathe in all that’s beautiful. Even if you find it hard to drive down somewhere a bit far, just go for a stroll in your neighborhood; 10 min’s is all you need to get energized, refreshed and appreciate the lovely season that has SO much to offer.
I absolutely love reading but I’m sure many can agree that it is often hard to fit in reading times regularly with so much else going on around us. Although, I’m not sure what it is about fall, BUT it just puts me in the mood for reading and I get to have some solitary, peaceful time like no other. The cloudy, cold, breezy, rainy weather, the cozy days and nights-in wrapped in warm blankets, coffee..oh an did I mention the rain..all just perfectly fit in when it comes to reading! I find this the best time to turn those pages, fully dive in and get lost in a book. Who can agree!??
3) Fall DIY/ Décor
I am a major home décor/ interior designing enthusiast. I get thrilled to buy in new pieces or make my own DIY décor for the house when the season changes! If you were to put me in any home décor store for the entire day, I would gladly volunteer myself to be there! It is so exciting to see new seasonal pieces come into stores; it simply puts you in the mood to enjoy the season even more.
Even if you are not an artsy person, there are so many easy DIY’S that you can find that will appeal to you, like the pictures I have pasted above are simply done with white paint, and some silver glitter. Unless, you are not into DIY’S at all than just spice your house a little bit by switching up your decor here and there and replace it with a more ‘fall touch’ by purchasing a few items from the store.
You know when you see amazing pics on Pinterest or you google really good photographers, does it make you just want to go out there and capture some pics yourself!? Let me know if you’re in with me on this but I really appreciate good photos. When I look at a pic that resonates with me, it literally lights up my eyes, gets me awestruck, totally puts me in that mood the photographer is trying to convey and I actually feel like I am in that picture at that exact setting, at that time. It’s almost like immersing yourself in a really good book.
At that moment, all I want to do is take pictures with my camera. Especially after I have started blogging, I find the desperate need to sweep out my camera or phone whenever I see something that is worth capturing. It is quite exciting and it makes me SO happy when I get good clicks. SO, it is only obvious that I find taking pictures of fall related things calming and IN FACT that is one of the main reasons I wanted to do this post in the first place..for the pictures! Well, what are you waiting for then!? Instagram that pic and spread the love of fall!
5) Pamper Bath
So, you’ve had a long, strenuous day and all you can think of is relaxing, right, but why not do it in the coziest way possible!? Light some candles, put on some music, set the mood, immerse your fave bath bomb in the water and hop into the hot tub for a relaxing, pamper bath. Trust me, putting in that little effort makes all the difference in the world. You will come out feeling so refreshed and happy that you would probably make this your to-do list every night. Having pamper baths during fall is the greatest; it is just experiencing that extra cozy, homey feel that you can NEVER say no to.
6) Cozy up with comfy clothing
Finally, you’ve had your relaxing bath and all that is left to do is get into those comfy PJ’s! Nothing screams cozier than snuggling up in your soft woollen PJ’s and socks. The. Best. Feeling. In. The. World.
This is quite an obvious one but had to be mentioned because it never gets old. I’m one of those people that desperately awaits for the Bath & Body Works new seasonal candle collection every year. I can’t get enough of sniffing through ‘Leaves’ or ‘Marshmallow Fireside.’ The true candle lovers will know exactly what I’m talking about. It is like living and breathing in fall 100%. It is just that. Besides the scent though, I simply love lighting candles just for the look of it. It instantly warms up your home and just puts you in an awesome cozy vibe that feels SO relaxing.
8) Drink Up
Quick recap, you’ve had your luxurious bath, got into your comfy clothing, lit candles to set the mood, now there’s only one thing missing – coffee! I believe this needs no explanation. Fall and coffee or any other hot beverage for that matter just go hand-in-hand. Now, all you need to finish this off is some blankets and Netflix. Enjoy!
Well, there you have it! I hope this inspired and motivated you guys to enjoy the remaining days of fall and to savor every moment remaining. I believe life is just better when you do things that you are passionate about and for me the smallest things make me happy and season changes are definitely on top of my list. They get me excited about life and I think I’m so appreciative of nature and the beauty that surrounds me that it makes me wanna live up to my excitement by not taking any season for granted.
