The pristine fresh air, the chirping of the birds from early dawn to dusk, the glimpse of greener grass, and the precious blooming flowers; yes, that could mean only one thing, SPRING! I love this time of year when you get to surround yourself with beautiful colors and warm weather that feels like a soft kiss of summer without the torching heat. This is usually the time I fix up my house and replace my décor pieces for more colorful and pastel themed interiors.
I have a huge single tree in my backyard where I hang my bird feeder and wanted to replace my bird feeder for a more spring feel. So, I thought I would share this with you guys in case any of you wanted to take up a project or two to celebrate the pleasantness of spring! This is an awesome DIY project you could do with your family/kids or even by yourself to express your creativity and acknowledge the beautiful season that is amidst us. Plus, it will end up looking so adorable and it would be such a treat to look at lovely birds feeding off from your very own painted bird feeder!
I purchased this wooden bird feeder from Micheals (local craft store) for only $4.99 and decided to paint it to add in my own touch to make it even more special. I went ahead and used acrylic paints but remember to seal it off with a clear spray for wood to prevent it from chipping or peeling off (All of this can be purchased at your local craft store.) You can create your own shade of color by getting your basic primary paint colors and definitely white so that you can mix whites with any color to get a variety of shades, for those who prefer a more pastel theme. So, get those hands dirty and enjoy the world of colors by celebrating the beauty of spring!
Would love to know if anyone of you do special DIY projects for spring or if you are planning on buying/creating something to help you get excited for this lovely season!??
